LASIK with Micro-Keratome

LASIK with Micro-Keratome (Blade)

LASIK is the most commonly performed procedure for dealing with focussing problems. The visual recovery time is the most rapid with LASIK.

In this procedure, a corneal flap is created using a blade. A laser beam then painlessly reshapes the cornea, and the flap is folded back into its natural position. Healing begins almost immediately.

Although a safe procedure, this surgery is not offered through Specialist Eye Centre, as we feel the Intralase Laser method of creating the flap is safer, more accurate, and more predictable, with a dramatic reduction in flap complications.
