Dr Capucine Odouard is a highly experienced eye surgeon with a compassionate, patient-centred approach to care. She specialises in cataract surgery, corneal conditions, and laser vision correction, offering the latest, evidence-based treatments tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and goals.
Dr Odouard completed her medical degree with Honours at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, and holds a Master of Science in Biology of Vision from University College London. She undertook ophthalmology training at the prestigious Sydney Eye Hospital, where she was appointed the Professorial Senior Registrar in her final year – a position awarded for clinical and academic excellence. She then completed subspecialty fellowship training in Cornea, External Eye Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at the University of British Columbia in Canada, equipping her with world-class expertise in both surgical and medical management of complex eye conditions.
Dr Odouard is also committed to education and research. She teaches at the University of Sydney’s Save Sight Institute and has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals. She regularly presents at national and international conferences. Her dedication to improving vision and access to care has taken her across Australia and abroad, including work in the UK, Tanzania, and Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.
